About Us

You Belong Books and Crafts was founded in April 2022 from Maria's desire to take action and help her own community and others become more understanding of each other. Understanding others creates a kinder, better future for our children. Often, hate and fear are born out of misunderstanding and misinformation. We are here to help teach children so that they can be prepared for their world and happy to greet each new face along the way. Her own children are her greatest inspiration.

YBBC closed in 2024 for two years as Maria returned to college. Two months after graduating, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. While Maria has been undergoing treatments and recovering intermittently, she gladly dove back into books. When possible, YBBC is holding their first pop ups locally, at street fairs, and upon request. We look forward to seeing you in person! It's been a wonderful experience.
